The team were incredible to work with, supporting 150 delegates travelling from all over the world to visit Dublin for a conference. I am delighted to provide some feedback on the recent incentive programs Harvey Building Products had in Ireland. Having been on all 89 Harvey trip programs over 42 years I have seen a lot of great travel experiences and this one ranks right up there with the best. The program included 235 participants split between two stays at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin with a buyout of the Dromoland Castle in between. These two five star facilities provided us with exceptional physical facilities, the finest dining one could imagine and a level of service that is as good as it gets. And of course the variety of touring opportunities that we were able to offer was wonderful. Between the many treasures in Dublin, the great golf courses, the Cliffs of Moher, Gap of Dunloe, Kilkenny and many other treats, there was something for every interest. Having said all that, it is still the warmth and energy of the Irish people that made the country so comfortable yet exciting for our people. The Irish people certainly lived up to their reputation for being the friendliest people in the world. I do want to give enormous credit to our travel partner, Docherty Incentives and Meetings, and our DMC, Wallace Travel Group. Together they gave us the local knowledge and creative spark that resulted in a program that was a very special treat for each of our guests. In the end, we judge a trip program by the effect it has on our customer’s loyalty in choosing their source for building materials. Judging from the comments from our customers, there is no doubt that our Ireland program has significantly strengthened their sense of loyalty and commitment for our products.

We organised a corporate incentive trip to Dublin in January 2024 for one of our clients, with Wallace Travel as our chosen local and on-site partner to design and deliver the programme together. The aim of the group was fun and reward, and Wallace completely nailed the brief and on-site delivery. The client was thrilled with how fun a time everyone had. From my perspective, Ciara, Roisin and the team at Wallace Travel were a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble, no detail to small to discuss and confirm, and they were flexible with different requests as well as friendly, understanding and accommodating for any potential issues. From start to finish, all the way until after the group were travelling onwards, the team were ultimately professional. Ciara checked in the next day to make sure everyone had made it home safely and was monitoring their onward journey that evening, despite her remit having ‘finished’ upon checking everyone in to get home. She also understood and adapted the brief to the group, making sure it was a good enough mix of fun and high-end experiences. Ciara took an interest in understanding the group in advance, which goes a long way to then make sure the whole experience is delivered well on-site.
